 About Jeanine:
Jeanine Chell was elected Register of Deeds for the
term that began on January 1, 2001. Prior to this she was Deputy
Register of Deeds for 4 years. Prior to that she worked at Burnett
County Abstract Company for 16 years.
A life long resident of Burnett County, Jeanine has been active
in community and church organizations. She enjoys gardening,
walking, reading and baking and attending all of the sports
activities that her children are involved in. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
In January of 2000 our office converted to an
imaging system for our land records. Our indexes were computerized
since 1991 and we were able to convert those images into our
system, which we have 12 years of documents now stored on our juke
box and able to pull these up on the computer. We are also in the
process of scanning our Birth, Death and Marriage Records, which
will help preserve our originals. Our vital record requests and
requests for copies of documents are processed the same day that
we receive them. |
