Cindi:
Cindi has been Register of Deeds
since 2003. Prior to that she worked in the office as the Deputy
Register of Deeds for 2 years. She is active in the Wisconsin
Register of Deeds association. She is locally active as an
Optimist and serves on the board of directors.
She is married to Paul and has 2 daughters and 3
grandchildren. Her free time is spent enjoying the
grandchildren. They go shopping, hiking, swimming and just all
around hanging out with each other. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
The
office has 1 full time employee and 2 part-time people. This
office is quite busy with genealogists and title searchers.
Searching is open Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30 although we
do not make copies after 3:00.
Birth records start in 1879, death 1872 and marriage 1838. We
also have land records from 1836 when we were part of Iowa
County. The office has a computerized indexing and imaging
system that started in 1996. Since the year 2000 everything is
entered into the computer. |

Green
County:
There are many fine places to eat and find your favorite beverages
in Green County. Shopping in small shops is also at a premium. Green
county hosts several fine brewing companies and many cheese
factories that give tours. Green County is a great place for all
kinds of recreation. There are plenty of things to chose from
depending on the season. Hiking, ATV riding, snowmobiling, or cross
county skiing. Cheese Country Recreation Trail that goes west from
Monroe all the way to Mineral Point. Under development is a trail
running from Freeport, IL north to Madison right up the middle of
Green County. The Sugar River State Trail goes for 26 miles from
Brodhead through Albany, onto Monticello to New Glarus.The scenery
is beautiful. We also host the Hot Air Balloon race with the Pork
producers supper yearly, and every even year is Green County Cheese
Days. These are just a few of the events located in Green County.
