| About the Register of Deeds office: The Langlade County Register of Deeds implemented a computerized grantee-grantor index in 1987, a computerized tract index in 1994 and an imaging system in September of 2001. The Register of Deeds and her staff of two, have recently completed a project to computerize the birth, death and marriage indexes. The death and marriage indexes are available on the county website to the delight of genealogists who search these records. Because of state regulations, the birth indexes are available on the Internet only through 1904. We accept credit card payments for vitals records and copies of real estate documents. | About Langlade County: The population is 20,740 according to the 2000 Census. The county seat is Antigo. Antigo Silt Loam, a gift of the glaciers, is prominent in Langlade County and recognized as the State Soil of Wisconsin. Langlade offers the Wolf River State Fishery Area and trout fishing is second to none in the state.
