 About Mike:
Michael Sydow has been Register of Deeds of
Marathon County since 1991. Prior to being elected, he worked in
the Marathon County Surveyor’s Department for 11 years and was
promoted to Deputy Surveyor. Mike graduated from Wausau East High
School and attended UW-Marathon Campus and North-Central Technical
College. He and his wife Lynne, who is an occupational therapist,
have two children. Mike is past president of the Wisconsin
Register of Deeds Association and the Wisconsin County
Constitutional Officers. Mike and his wife are active in Badger
State Games Figure Skating and won the "Spirit of the Games Award"
in 2002. Mike is an avid Packer fan and enjoys his cottage by the
lake in the Northwoods. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
The Marathon County Register of Deeds has seven full time staff in
addition to himself. The Register of Deeds implemented a
computerized tract index in 1992, and an imaging system in 1996 to
scan, preserve, and provide efficient access to the real estate
document images. Online access to the real estate index is
provided to customers, and online access to images is provided by
subscription. |
