 About Melanie:
Melanie was elected Register of Deeds of Marinette
County in 1992. Prior to becoming Register of Deeds she worked
eight years for Marinette County, the last four years as a
description specialist in the property listing department. She is
a member of the Wisconsin Register of Deed Association and is
currently co-chair on the Handbook Committee for that association.
She is past chair of the Marinette County Land Information office
and a member of the Wisconsin Land Information Association. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
Recording information from 1879 to 1999 is available in the manual
tract index, and the document images prior to 2000 are available
on microfiche. An automated tract index was installed at the end
of 1999, and an imaging system in 2000. Internet access to these
two electronic systems will be available mid 2004. |
