| About John:
I was appointed by Governor Thompson to assume the
duties of Register of Deeds on July 6,1999. Previous to my
appointment I was in the banking business for 30 plus years.
I'm a native of Monroe County and live in Sparta with my wife
Bev. We have two grown children; Paul & Amy and four
grandchildren.
I'm involved with the Boy Scouts, Boys & Girls Club ,Ducks
Unlimited and usher at St Patrick's Church . In my spare time I
enjoy houseboating, fishing ,hunting, biking, cross country skiing
and woodworking. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
The Register of Deeds office is located in the
Administration Building, Room 2. We have four (4) of us in the office. |

Monroe
County:
The County of Monroe covers an area of about 30 square miles and
has an approximate population of 40,000 people. If you like to
bike our area is the place to come too. We have the Sparta -Elroy
bike trail, which is ridden by about 80,000 bikers per year. We
also have good hunting and fishing. Monroe County also offers a
very scenic view over its hills and valleys.
