About Laurie: Laurie Anderson was appointed Polk County Register of Deeds by Governor Doyle in 2003. Prior to being appointed she worked twenty years in the office and had been promoted to Chief Deputy Register of Deeds. Laurie has lived most of her life in Polk County and graduated from Unity High School in Balsam Lake. Laurie is married, her husband is a truck driver and they have two grown sons. One living in Las Vegas with his wife, and the second attending school in Superior. She enjoys riding ATV, reading, cooking and spending time with family.
