About the Register of Deeds office:
The Rock County Register of Deeds office has entered into the
realm of electronic Recording. Electronic Recording (E-recording) is
the trend of the future with respect to the manner in which our
office will conduct business. Cost savings and efficiencies are
driving wider acceptance of this technology by both local government
and the financial industry. E-recording will allow our office the
transition from a labor intensive, manual system to an automated
system for recording documents over time. |

About
Rock
County:
Situated in South Central Wisconsin, Rock County is located within
the Midwestern Heartland. In 1836, Rock county was officially
established, being named for the big "rock" jutting out into the
Rock river. Native Americans and early settlers from New England and
Europe shaped the area's history. With a stable and diversified
economy, appealing quality-of-life standards and excellent natural
amenities, Rock county is the ideal place to live and work. Having a
population of 153,000, residents and visitors enjoy many historical,
cultural and recreational attractions. Excellent educational
institutions, such as Beloit College, Blackhawk Technical College
and UW-Rock County, ensure an available and qualified work force.
