About
Linda:
I am a life long resident of Rusk County and began my term as
Register of Deeds in January of 1995. Prior to becoming Register
of Deeds, I worked in the Aging Unit and Auditors Office at the
courthouse. I am an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church,
Democratic Party, and Bakers Dozen Homemaker Club. My husband
George and I have six children and eleven grandchildren. I enjoy
gardening, baking, golfing, fishing, and spending time with our
family. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
Our records date back to 1865. Our staff includes my Deputy and
three-fourths time Clerk/Typist. In 2003 our office recorded 6,879
documents. We have a Computer Track Index System, and implemented
Optical Imaging in 2003. Currently our Historical Society is
adding cemetery records and family history to our Genealogy
Center. Our main focus is helping and caring for the public and
the people in Rusk County. |
