Ellen: Due to the
retirement of the former Register of Deeds, Ellen was appointed to
fill the vacancy for one year. Fall of 2006 was officially elected
to the office.
Ellen is married with 4 children, previously I worked at the Kohler
Company 15 years in various positions with in the company the last
15 years as Recording Secretary of UAW Local 833. Serves on the
Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together, Sheboygan County, is
Chairperson of UAW Local 833 Community Services Committee,
volunteers with 4-H and FFA. In 2001, received her BA in Business
from Lakeland College, holds an associate degree in Supervision
Management from LTC, and is currently enrolled in UW Madison's
Certified Public Management program. She along with her husband
reside in Town of Lima, Sheboygan County. |

About the Register of Deeds office:
Our office staff consists of 1 office supervisor, 3 Document
Specialists, 1 Account Clerk, 1 Real Estate Technician recently made
(part time). We currently have over 2 million land records that
represent $6.2 billion dollars of real estate within the boundaries
of Sheboygan County. In fall of 2010 we upgraded our land record
software to AVID enables us record documents one day and have them
available for public viewing within 24 hours. Our vital record
requests are processed the day we receive the and sent back to the
requester the next day. We offer on-line contracts to our frequent
customers (Laredo) and for the casual customer (Tapestry) is a
convenient way to look up real estate records 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. In order to share more records on line we currently are
working on back indexing documents into the system we have over one
million to get completed. Stop in any time during office hours for a
tour of the office. |
