About Beth:

Beth took office January 5, 2009.  She has worked for St. Croix County for over 17 years, 15 years within the Register of Deeds Office.

Beth has lived in this county most of her life.  She graduated from River Falls High School and then attended UW-River Falls and received a BS degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Broad Area Business.  She is a member of the WI Register of Deeds Association and the WI Land Information Association.  For the Register of Deeds Association Beth is a member of the Handbook committee and Public Relations committee.

Beth's work experience with Land Records started in 1984 when she worked at Westconsin Credit Union performing various banking duties including processing loans, UCC's, NSF's, and working as a Teller.  After College she sat & passed the 1989 Certified Public Accounting exam and worked for a few years as an auditor and Certified Public Accountant.  In 1992 Beth started working for St. Croix County and has worked in the Register of Deeds Office and as a Real Property Lister Assistant.

Beth is married to Lynn and has two daughters.  Beth and her family live in the Village of Hammond.

Beth has been active as a Girl Scout Leader, member of the Hammond Snowdrifters Snowmobile club, member of the Hammond Lions, and member of the St. Croix Area Chamber of Commerce.

Beth loves being with family & friends, spending time at the cabin, reading, walking, golf, gardening & watching the sporting activities of her daughters.

About the Register of Deeds office: 

We have four staff members to provide service to the public and process the daily documents.  We automated our real estate recording process January, 1999 and now scan all the documents.  Presently we have 6 computers available in the office for public access to the real estate records.  We also offer on-line services.

For people interested in genealogy, our Marriage records began in 1852, Birth in 1860 and Death in 1876.

About St Croix County: 

St. Croix County is often known as the Gateway to Western Wisconsin.  It is the fastest growing county in the state.  St. Croix County is located on Interstate 94 and borders on the St. Croix River.  It is 729.45 sq. miles.  The population in 2000 was 63,155, a 25% increase from 1990.  St. Croix County has a total of 21 towns, 9 villages, 3 cities and 2 wards of the City of River Falls.  Hudson is the county seat.  On June 14, 1993, couty offices were moved into the newly constructed Government Center.

There are four county owned parks plus Willow River State Park which offers beautiful scenery, camping, picnic grounds, nature trails, and cross country ski trails.  There are approximately 200 miles of designated snowmobile trails in the county.
