About the Register of Deeds office The Register of Deeds office became computerized in January 1997. In 2002 we started optical imaging. We are in the process of back-scanning our books. We have also hired a company to convert our microfilm to disk. All of the certified survey maps have been entered and scanned into the system.

Death and marriage indexes have been computerized. We are working on birth. We have also started scanning our vital records.  Requests for vital records and copies are handled the same day. We have a 24-48 hour turn-around on recording documents.

I have one excellent deputy working with me. Her name is Renee Bell and has worked in the office since January, 1995.
