The area is home to historic landmark buildings including Holy Hill-National Shrine of Mary near the Ice Age Trail and the Old Courthouse in West Bend's cultural district, as well as two modern college campuses-University of Wisconsin-Washington County and Moraine Park Technical College-West Bend. Agriculture related business, manufacturing and printing, information technology and data processing, and finance and insurance are strengths and focal points for continued development.
