Walworth County - Kathleen Kostock
Kathy has over 10 years of real estate related experience, working locally as a title company processor and closing agent and real estate administrative assistant, as well as a mortgage loan underwriter and officer. In addition, she has more than 10 years accounting and bookkeeping experience. Together, these make her well-qualified to carry out the duties as Register of Deeds.
She has been a resident of Walworth County for over 30 years and currently serves as a member of the Elkhorn Area School Board. Living in the Town of Sugar Creek with Bill, her husband of 40+ years, Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and “playing in the dirt”. She and Bill are big gardeners and have been blessed to be able to share their bounty with family and neighbors and the Walworth County Food Pantry.

Real estate records are maintained in a grantor/grantee indexing system which begins in 1839. A computer index is available beginning in 1969 as well as document images back to 1935. In 2004 a tract index was created. Birth, death & marriage records for events that occurred in Walworth are maintained. Birth records begin in 1856, death records begin in 1873 & marriages begin in 1839. Ownership & description information is maintained for over 65,000 tax parcels.
